MacBook Pro shuts off with full battery charge

In the last couple of weeks my laptop will shut itself down after I sign in. Battery is fully charged, battery life is reported to be "normal". If I then plug it in, it starts back up and shows full charge. I can then unplug it and it'll continue to run until the next time. Anyone have any ideas?
