How can I update my computer that isn't allowing me to login to App Store?

I'm using a 2015 Macbook that is on Yosemite and won't allow me to update saying password to App store is incorrect which I know 100% it is correct. Same issue with my friends login.

I'm assuming this is due to the 2-factor authentication requirement. However, apple has disabled turning off 2-factor on my account.

How can I update this computer that the hard drive needed to be restored and is on Yosemite?

Thanks

How about your start by reseting your password:

https://support.apple.com/apple-id

that will clear out any problems too... also, it is the fastest and easiest thing to do...

Try to login with your new password. IF that doesn't work then there are other issues...
