Problems with Keyboard on safari

When I try to type anything in safari and press space, the iPad goes haywire. Something is selected and continuing to hit space keeps going backwards. Using google I have zero problems, but sometimes it happens when I use docs and other writing apps. What can I do?

A forced-restart of your iPad may be beneficial - as doing so will often resolve isolated software issues:

  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
