How to disable horizontal mouse scrolling?

I have a problem playing my game.

When I press shift and scroll the mouse wheel It makes the game screen scroll itself.

iMac 27″, macOS 10.13

That is very likely a controller option built into the game app.

Check the preferences settings for the game that you are using.
