Can’t update WhatsApp because won’t recognise me Apple ID

Why can’t people still recognise my ID and password. I am unable to update WhatsApp as it keeps asking me over and over my password and I reset it it keeps coming back to the same screen

iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 14

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. From your post, there are issues updating an app because of the Apple ID and password. We'll do what we can to help.


Here are some suggestions:

  • Since you already reset your password, go ahead and log out of the device you are using. If on iOS/iPadOS, that will be in Settings > [your name] > Media & Purchases.
  • Restart the device you're using and try again.
  • Check the connection to the Internet. If on Wi-Fi, try using cellular/mobile data and see if signing in works without issue.
