2010 Macbook Pro won't update

Hey, I have a 2010 MacBook pro and had it forever now. However, now it won't install any new updates and I don't have the money to buy a whole new computer

Updating High Sierra:

The latest it can go is likely macOS High Sierra. So, go here to download it.

Updating High Sierra:

The latest it can go is likely macOS High Sierra. So, go here to download it.

updates install the changes for the SAME major version.


To make progress, you would need to UPGRADE, which is more like a purchase, but on sale for $0.


I recommend you install !0.11 El Capitan, which has an improved Mac App Store and can allow you to upgrade further if you like.
