USB

Flash drives are not visible on the sidebar or on my iMac after Monterey upgrade...

Internal speakers also not visible.

iMac 21.5″ 4K, macOS 12.0

In Finder preferences under sidebar is "show external drives" checked off?

computer doesn't read ANY usb flash drives I got my MacBook Air back in October... my husband and I both have the attachment necessary for flash drives and other external hardware, but for some reason my computer reads none of them - while they pop up just fine on my husbands computer (which was purchased around the same time). macOS Monterey Version 12.2.1 not recognizing flashdrives Very recently, my MacBook, Monterey Version 12.2.1 is not recognizing flash drives, none--not just a particular one. I do connect the gadget to be able to plug in USBs and it does recognize an external hard drive which I use for backups, just the flash drives are not recognized and it had been seeing them. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for any help you can provide--

iMac won't recognize USB / external drive My iMac won't recognize my external flash drive anymore. I have gone through all the checks in Preferences to ensure External Disks are checked. I ran First Aid in Disk Utility already. Tried all USB ports, restarted and shut down multiple times. Did all software updates. In System Information, under USB, the flash drive occasionally shows up there, but not always. Anyone know what else I can do to get my iMac to recognize external drives/USB Flash Drive?
