Email app

I had to change my password on my e mail account. I can now only access my e mails via safari. How do I update the new e mail password onto my IPad and I Phone so emails come into my mailbox. At the moment they are blocked because my email address was compromises. I need to use my apple mail app

You will need to update/set your current email password in two places - one your incoming email - and the other for your outgoing mail:


Settings > Mail > Accounts > [Your email account] > [Account] >

  • [Incoming Mail Server] Password - update/set your current email password
  • [Outgoing Mail Server] > [Primary Server] > Password - update/set your current email password


Alternatively, delete and re-add the email account on your iPad.
