No. You can create a new password, but it will only apply to new notes that you create or add a password to. When you added the password did you also add a password hint? If not, or if the hint isn’t helpful, you will have to guess the password. You do get unlimited guesses, however.

Unfortunately, no. You will need the original password to unlock the note. The good news is that you have unlimited tries.
