Can you Update an Imac Late 2013 software to a newer version? This is my first Apple computer.

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and click on El Capitan, High Sierra, Mojave, or Catalina. If it's already running Catalina, no. If you're referring to something other than the OS, only if there's a version which will run on yours.


Catalina and newer won't run 32-bit software; download and use Go64 to scan for it. To check other programs, click here and look them up.
