It depends on your MacBook Air model.

Mac Repair - Official Apple Support

If your MacBook Air is too old that Apple and Apple Authorized Service providers don't accept repair service, you need to take your MacBook Air to third party repair shop or get the battery which suits your MacBook Air and replace by yourself.
