Re: I don't know why my fan on my macbook air doesn't stop running

Wondering what the underlying cause of the fan-effect might be,

Eg: Sometimes third-party (non-Apple) apps can cause issues ...

Chrome has caused "heavy-use" issues for some, or apps no longer compatible with Mac's updates.

Virus checkers (completely unnecessary on Mac) are often troublesome.

... you could try turning off any ad-blockers etc ... and see if they need removing (pref. via the developer's uninstaller)

Wondering just what tests you have already done and what your findings were.

Perhaps you might want to check whether it is a memory or storage issue ?

Eg: Your Mac needs at least 50Gb free for the operating system to operate smoothly.

You may have stored a lot of images, songs, or movies etc. that could be backed up on to a portable hard-drive.

How to check, and /or free up storage space on your Mac.

NB: Backing-up everything before deleting anything is a good practice.

Eg: Activity monitor on your Mac is a handy way to see which apps are using all the energy:

Or

If you wish, you can run Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac for hardware issues:
