Pairing of apple watch

I cannot pair my iPhone 12mini which has iOS 15.2 to my new Apple Watch. It keeps say my iPhone is out of date. Help

The latest iOS right now is iOS 15.2.1. Try updating your iPhone first and then try to pair.
