Continually checking for updates after installing Big Sur 11.6.2

My Mac is telling me there is a software update. When I go in to update, it just continually checks for updates. I've tried turning keep my Mac up to date off. I've tried restarting and shutting it down. Any advice?

Much appreciated!

Additionally, I would boot into Safe Boot mode, and try software update from there. How much available storage is on your startup drive (select the Macintosh HD icon on your Desktop and press option+cmd+i.

There is an update for macOS 11.6.3, that will appear as Other… beneath the primary Monterey upgrade entry on the Software Update panel. From Apple () menu > About This Mac, do you have 11.6.2, or is it really 11.6.3 now? About an hour after 11.6.3 is installed, Other… will appear again offering to install Safari 15.3.

In System Preferences > Software Update > Advanced… does that panel look like mine?

It's not just you; at least one of my Macs has been "Checking for updates" all day. I think Apple's servers are simply overwhelmed given the number of security updates released for many different products this morning.
