How do I delete my info and files on my 2016 MacBook Pro before I gift to my daughter?

Details in the reference article suggest how to do just that.

Not in a simple kind of way; just in steps, by the numbers.


Essentially once you are done with the macOS' contents &

wish to erase it; do just that. Link(s) for the purpose include

reinstall; and then shut-off, before personalizing Mac. Then

a new owner could start-up; from where Mac was left.

In general ~ if you are done with it: do the last Step #8.
