MacBook Air 13 inch serial number appears to be invalid.

My Macbook Air 13-inch has a serial number (MGN63B/A) that Apple thinks is a Macbook m1 hence when querying Apple support, Apple says serial number does not match device any ideas?

Find the model and serial number of your Mac - Apple Support

In About This Mac, you can Copy that serial number, then Paste it into https://checkcoverage.apple.com/

That will preclude making an error. Please don't post it here.

If that site still thinks the serial number is not valid (it's possible), then you will need to contact Apple and speak with a human being.
