apple music subscription

I began a subscription for apple music on Jan. 15 with a renewal date of Feb. 15 installing the app on my iPhone. In accessing and setting up the app I had difficulty and erased the free subscription to start installing it again not realizing that I could not take advantage of free months for the subscription and therefore started paying $9.99 immediately.

I seek to take advantage of the free months as I intend to continue using apple music. Can you reinstate the free portion of the subscription for me?
