Power adaptor failure

i have an 2017 Mac book air and the power adaptor has failed. I have replaced it twice now and it has been the same result. It works fine for a few months but then gets very hot and does not work anymore. Can anyone help with this problem? Thank you

Refer to If the adapter gets warm in If your MagSafe cable or power adapter isn't working - Apple Support.

If they overheat for whatever reason they will just shut themselves down, and are supposed to recover on their own. Overheating should not cause permanent damage, but anything is possible.

They have a minimum one year warranty, at least in the US, so if it stops working contact Apple.
