iPad Air has black screen and force restart doesn't work

iPad Air has black screen and force restart doesn't work. It has been charging for 3 hours- don't know if it is taking a charge or not. What to do???

If you already tried (to no avail) a "forced" restart of your iPad, it might be a hardware (screen? other internal component? battery?) problem.

I suggest that you make an appointment (*) and have your device inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> Apple – Location Selector. After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options.
