Apple TV Display not functioning

Hello, I have an Apple TV 4. It is connected to my system through my receiver to the Sony TV. It is on HDMI 1. The TV is on HDMI 2.

When Apple opens it does not connect the tv to HDMI 2. I must go to input on tv and select HDMI 2. ALSO once both are connected, the TV will return to HDMI 1 (then I cannot see the screen unless I use the remote and reconnect to HDMI 2). If I press home or exit on my Logitech Elite or MENU on Apple TV, it will remove TV display.

Apple remains running in the background during all scenarios.

I have tested my other Apple TV box and it is the same.

This has never been a problem until recently.

I am two days into this. :)

Verify that HDMI-CEC is (still) activated on both the Apple TV and your TV.

For Apple TV: Settings﹥Remotes and Devices﹥Control TVs and Receivers﹥On

For TV: see its manual.
