I have a iPhone 8 and use screen mirroring, not AirPlay, but every time I turn phone to us full screen the AirPlay connects and won’t allow mirroring to show on tv .How can I disable AirPlay till I decide if I need it ?

So even tho I use screen mirroring from control box it will connect and go to AirPlay ?
it only switches to AirPlay if /when I rotate phone for full screen or click the icon in the video to full screen. Mirroring only works when I’m in the standard view upon the opening connection displayed
