When I use FaceTime the audio comes out of my Mac Mini M1 speaker instead of the HDMI connected monitor speakers. I am running OS 11.6.4. I have the Output Audio in the FaceTime app set to Use System Setting. The Music app plays through the HDMI speakers just fine. This is not new btw. It has been happening through several OS releases.

Have you tried it on the latest Monterey 12.2.1?
No. Did Apple fix this issue with that release?
Update, you’ll find out.
Tried Factime this morning with OS updated to 12.2.1and it seems to have fixed the problem
