time machine backup not possible

Hello, i am doing a back up of my Mac to an external hard drive, but this message pops up:

Time Machine couldn’t complete the backup to “Backups & Musica”.

The backup disk could not be found. Make sure the backup disk is connected or select a different backup disk.


all other documents/apps et are backed up so not sure why this comes up and how to fix.

there is still space to backup.


can someone please support on fixing this?

You really shouldn't backup other stuff to a TM backup drive, but Start with this...


Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes.


Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
