Enable App Notifications on Silent Mode

Is there any way to allow the notifications of a particular app to still make sound when the phone is in silent mode (ex. Allowing notifications only from the Ring app but no other apps/texts/calls when in silent mode)

This question was previously asked in 2020 and responded to, indicating silent mode was universally applied to all sounds and that there was no solution. 30+ ppl visited the same question and expressed they had the same problem, so I was wondering if any work or updates had been done to address the issue or if this was still impossible.

If an apple support replies, and there is no current solution, could you please indicate if this issue has been flagged, is being worked on, and if there is any timeline on an update that would allow this function? Thank you.

If anyone else reads this, I called tech support and they found a solution. (Mostly)

In general settings there is now “focus” which allows you to toggle silent, driving mode, airplane mode, but more importantly make your own custom mode. Initially intended to allow you to reduce notifications to only relevant apps when you’re working for example, you can make your own custom focus, call it “Ring App Only” for example where the only app you allow to show you notifications is the Ring app. You can turn it on and off from the control centre.

The only catch is that notifications from all other apps aren’t just silenced, but hidden (to “help you with productivity”) until you turn off your new “Ring App Only” focus function.

So not bad, not a perfect solution, but close.
