Can I use both ICloud AND Gmail email addresses?

1. In my Settings I see I have gmail & iCloud email addresses but I can’t seem to use the iCloud address!! why not?

2. Can I not use both my iCloud OR my Gmail address on my iPhone 12?

3. I would also like to send gmail copies of important emails to myself on my iCloud account to ensure my emails are automatically saved in iCloud.

4. Is this possible to use both addresses together and/ or separately?

if not why not? I am confused.

thank you.

Email accounts other than iCloud are added in Settings, Mail, Accounts.

Your iCloud address is already built-in. You simply activate it in Settings, your name, iCloud by toggling Mail on (green)

You will find your iCloud mail and your Gmail are then both available in Mail app

This is true even if your Gmail email is also your Apple ID
