How do I reset my iPhone 5 to factory settings without the Apple password. It was my husbands phone and he doesn’t even use the email anymore.

He is going to have to recover the password. If that email is not longer usable, he is going to have to contact Apple Security for assistance. Contact Apple for help with Apple ID account security - Apple Support
