New IMac bluetooth is off, and magic mouth is not response, How to turn bluetooth on, please help!

Plug the charging cord into the Magic Keyboard and the iMac USB port (it becomes a USB keyboard)
Borrow or buy a cheap USB mouse and turn Bluetooth on in System Preferences.
If BT turns on try to pair the Magic Mouse (make sure that it is switched on)
If unsuccessful restart in safe mode and see if Bluetooth is active
