Macbook Pro 16 M1 Pro 2021 does not find iPad Pro 12.9 2021 as a display (sidecar)

I bought a new MacBook Pro 16 M1 2021 and a new iPad Pro 12.9 but when I follow the instruction to use the iPad as a second screen, it does not find it

Any ideas how to fix?
