music not putting songs into artist folder

The Mac OS Music app has two songs from Artist A in the Artist A folder and several songs from Artist A in an unknown artist folder. I did a "get info" and rewrote the artist, but the files weren't moved. I changed the artist name to something random and changed it back, but the files still weren't moved.

How do I get Music to move the songs to the appropriate folder?

I'm using 12.3.1 and have "Keep Music Media folder organized" checked.

Mac mini 2018 or later

Did you set the album artist as well as the artist? I generally set both to be the same unless it is a compilation album. Given its a Mac you should be able to drag the tracks to where you think they belong and remove the unwanted folders.
