Stolen erased iPhone on find my iPhone

Hello everyone,

My iphone 13 pro was stolen weeks ago and I was able to mark it as lost and erase it. However, I still can locate it on find my iPhone even after the erase completed.

As per far as I know the iPhone can’t be located after the erase and I’m concerned if there is an issue in the erase or the thief was able to unlock it as I still can locate my iPhone.

Note the first sentence of item 5:

“If you erase a device that had iOS 15, iPadOS 15, or later installed, you can still use Find My to locate the device or play a sound on it.”
