I have an 80 gb ipod classic. The only model number i have found is on the inside of the ipod after taking it apart on the main piece of the insides of the ipod it has model :HS081HA. Does anyone know what generation this is.

See Identify your iPod model - Apple Support. It should be model A1238 although that appears to be used by both 5th and 6th/classic generations in that table.
