Touch ID is not longer showing up in my system preferences. My macOS is up to date, I've restarted my computer, and Automatic log in is off. How to I get this function back?????

I've tried it and the option to unlock my iMac is still not showing up. I've updated all of my Apple products, and still no luck. If I got into the Touch ID settings in System Preferences, it won't let me add another fingerprint either.
Did you plug your Touch ID keyboard in with the USB cable?
Yes. I have. and it still won't show the Touch ID on the lock screen.
