HomePod will not come t to a secured Wi-Fi.

HomePod is designed to connect to secure Wi-Fi running WPA2. iOS 15.4 has added the ability to connect to some kinds of captive network. See Use your HomePod on an 802.1X Wi-Fi network - Apple Support. What error message do you get when you try to set up your HomePod?

That message usually crops up when peer to peer connections are blocked on the network. If the router is under your control you need any client/access point/wireless isolation/security feature turned off.

It somewhat depends on how well you get on with the IT dept., or if there is a business case for allowing your HomePod access to the network. If not you may be able to setup the HomePod at home, configure it to allow playback from anyone with a passcode, then it may work for you at work.
