What year model is your iMac?

see > Identify your iMac model - Apple Support

What macOS version is it currently running?

see > Find out which macOS your Mac is using - Apple Support

If you have a 2012 or 2013 iMac, then you should be able to update it to macOS Catalina 10.15.

see > How to get old versions of macOS - Apple Support

If you have a 2010 or 2011 iMac running 10.13 High Sierra, then you are stuck with that and Safari 13.

In this case you really only have 2 options.

  1. Consider replacing that obsolete iMac with a newer Mac.
  2. Use a third party browser like Mozilla FireFox or Brave.
