MacBook Air randomly refuses to wake up.

MacBook Air refuses to wake up, randomly. It's not shut down as the keyboard is still lighted. But the only way to get it back is to press the power button until light goes out and then power on again. this can't be right. Is something wrong in sleep function?

Try the following:

Update macOS.

Try Safe Mode.

Use Apple Diagnostics to test your Mac.

If that does not help, then get expert service and support at the Genius Bar.

Since I work from home I usually keep MacBook plugged in even after shutting it down. The next morning is when I experience Mac will not turn on. What I find, which is odd, is sometimes when I remove the AC cord, wait a couple minutes, then it turns on. I don't know if even shutting it down it goes to sleep mode instead?
