Deleting email account only on iPad

Hi I have an old iPad I want to delete email account off of.

is it possible to remove just from this device and not my newer iPad and iPhone

iPad 2, iOS 9

Email accounts that are configured for use with the native Mail App are simply removed from the device settings. Removing an email account from a device will not impact other devices where the same account has been set-up.


To remove an email account from your iPad2:

Settings > Passwords & Accounts > [Accounts] - tap the email account that you wish to remove, then select Delete Account


For newer models of iPad with iPadOS14 or later:

Settings > Mail > Accounts > [Account] - tap the email account that you wish to remove, then select Delete Account

Are your Locked Out?

If you are referring to the passcode, you need to reset the passcode. So, refer to the following...

Troubleshooting a Locked iPad:

Hold It Right There!:

Enter the passcode incorrectly too many times, and you'd likely be locked out for good. So, hold it right there, and refer to this link: If you Forgot the Passcode on your iPad, or your iPad is Disabled - Apple Support. It would be the one you've always entered. If you do not know it, then look for it in a location you may have stored it in.

If locked out...

Have any Proof of Purchase?

Unless you have the original packaging and receipt, you may be out of luck. If you do have it, however, then take this to an Apple Store, or an AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider)! and they may be able to restore it. The reason for this blockage is all about Security & Privacy.
