I have a shared photo album that includes scans of older photos. A sort won't work properly on those but when I try to drag them into a proper date order (on my iMac), they won't move like they will in an album that's not shared. Any tips?

What system and Photos versions are you running?
Sorting Shared Albums on the Mac is only available with macOS Monterey.
