Whether or not it's worth the money to you is something only you can answer. Is the phone in good condition? Do you plan on keeping it for another 6 months to a year? Is the battery capacity below 80%? If the answer to those questions is "yes", it could well be worth it. Getting a new battery will make the phone feel almost like new again. It's a relatively low price to pay to significantly improve the performance of the phone.
If the phone has other problems or you're not planning on keeping it very long, it may not be worth it. But, even if you're holding out for the next model, it might be a good idea. It will buy you time so that, if orders are backlogged, you'll still have the useful phone.
