So I have a Apple Watch 5 and basically the charge to repair will be 299.00. Is that for anything wrong or could it be more?

It has a cracked face, looks like water or something maybe leaked onto face. Wondering if I should just bite the bullet and get a new watch.

They will completely replace your watch with a service replacement watch which will have a 90 day warranty. If you decide to get a new one recycle the one you have. You might want to go buy a jewelry repair site and ask them to help you remove the bands.
