New Keyboard / Touch ID not showing up in System Preferences

I just purchased a magic keyboard for use with my Mac. The Touch ID feature is not showing up in my system preferences. I am running MacOS Monterey Version 12.4. I have tried to reboot in safe mode as well as reset the SMC but to no avail. How can I get Touch ID to show up in system preferences so that I can take advantage of this feature? Thanks!

Touch ID will not work on an Intel iMac like your 27" iMac, that is well documented in the System Requirements for your new keyboard. You need an M1 based iMac (currently the 24" model) for Touch ID to work.
