Mac storage Delete Photos from co,puter when in Icloud

If I have selected the optimization of my mac and uploaded photos on Icloud, should I delete them all from the library? I dont have space anymore on my mac

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.14

Not only photos occupy photo application system photo library other iCloud data also consumes space What you can do with iCloud storage - Apple Support

You can manage iCloud storage space Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support

Deleting photos from system photo library will move photos in recently deleted and kept only for 30 days and will be erased in iCloud also .

So deleting all photos is not a solution ( as these photos would be precious ) .

No. If you delete them from your library you will also delete them in iCloud.
