iMac as external display for Studio.

Just got my Studio, but the monitor won't arrive for up to another 6 weeks. Can I use my iMac as the external display for the Studio while I wait? If yes, can I switch between using the two computers while using the iMac display?

iMac 27″, macOS 10.15

No sorry, the Mac Studio does not support using an iMac as a display in Target Display Mode.

carefully read > Use your iMac as a display with target display mode - Apple Support

You need to barrow or buy an aftermarket display to use with the Mac Studio until Studio Display arrives.
