What link are you referring to?

Is this from some website?

QuickTime for Windows is no longer supported, not needed, and it is not recommended to install, even if on supported devices.

Wherever you saw this message, question the trustworthiness of who is bringing that message. It might be phishing or other phony harmful pretend-support.
