I have an iPhone 10 X and many times when dictating a text message, the text will duplicate or repeat after I have finished speaking. I spent a lot of time backspacing over the duplicate words before sending the message. This is very frustrating and I cannot find an answer. Please help.

As far as I have experienced it only types what you say. If you say a word twice then it will type twice --> Use Dictation on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
