Photos

My iPhotos opens whenever I log in to my MacBook, nothing is connected to iPhotos but it still happens. I do not have open at login checked so I don't know why this is happening. Does anyone know the cause or how to turn this off?

Just so we're all on the same page you mean the Photos app, not iPhoto, right?


Look in the System/Users & Groups/Login Items preference pane and make sure that Photos is not listed to launch upon boot.


Also when you shut down do not check this check box:
