I can't fix Mail on Mac.

My MacBook Pro is old, I admit, 'Late 2011'. My problem is with Mail though.

For years, it's worked fine on the Mac and also my iPhone. But then I had a kerfuffle where I changed phones and set the new phone up including iPhone Mail which all worked fine.

Somehow, however the settings on the MacBook Pro were affected and now I can get incoming mail but can't send emails on the MacBook.

My internet provider / phone carrier has tried to help unsuccessfully.

Should I delete / wipe all the account information and put it all in again? Start from fresh? Might this help?

Thank you!
