If my phone is water resistant (I have the iPhone 12) how would the water effect my phone if I didn’t have it in water that long and I let it dry for hours before returning to it?

How would my Face ID be able affected by the water if it’s water resistant, I don’t really under stand, help? And approx. cost to fix?

Troubleshooting Water Damage:

Water may get water laying below the iSight Camera, and so might debris. So, for the price for servicing that, contact the following...

A. Apple Support:

Contact them and find out your options for new-in-the box purchases.

  • Contact Us - Choose Locations
  • Proceed from there as necessary
  • Note: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. And that makes sense because with the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)

B. AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider:

See what an AASP offers for new and and used phones.

  1. Go Here: Find Locations - Apple Authorized Reseller
  2. Click: Service & Support
  3. Enter: your location information
  4. See: if there is an AASP nearby
  5. Contact: an AASP that shows up, and find out more about the items they sell.

Or...

C. Retailer:

Contact your local retailer, seeing if they replace these.
