Lycamobile sending text messages

Just swapped to Lycamobile sim and I can’t send text messages tho I can receive them

iPhone 7, iOS 15

If you have an iPhone and another iOS or iPadOS device, like an iPad, your iMessage settings might be set to receive and start messages from your Apple ID instead of your phone number. To check if your phone number is set to send and receive messages, go to Settings > Messages, and tap Send & Receive

Thanks but I can receive messages, and I've checked the above and both iCloud address and phone number are enabled. Still can't send texts. Lycamobile have various suggestions on their website around changing settings, but none of these make any difference. Can't get through on their web chat or phone line, of course
