Can I upgrade from Catalina to Big Sur first, instead of Monterey?
My 'Software Update' notification only shows an option to upgrade to Monterey.
I could not find the Big Sur Option.

Thank you, but in my case, I am actually doing an upgrade, not going backwards.
I am intending to go from Catalina to Big Sur.
Is this still possible, or is my only option to be to go right into Monterey?
Yes it's still possible. The link I posted should take you to the Apple Store so you can download and run the installer for Big Sur. I upgraded to Big Sur and still see the Monterey upgrade in my System Preferences, but I'm choosing to ignore it for now.

I just did that yesterday -- updated from Mojave to Big Sur.
