Changed my Apple password. Can't sign into iTunes on my Windows 11 PC. Message says "Verification failed--an unknown error occured". When I look at the question below "What device is this about?" my PC does not show as an approved device. There doesn't seem to be a way to add my PC as a device. It worked fine before I changed my password. VPN is OFF.
Finally, I called Apple support. Twice. Long story short. ITunes would not recognise the Shift key when entering my password (which, at the time, began with a capital letter). Discovered this by cutting and pasting the pw from my password manager (the excellent RoboForm). Presumed a faulty keyboard, but the shift key appears fine in every other program. Problem solved, if not cured.
